Reform Animal Welfare Law in South Eastern US

Please sign this petition to tell elected officials that the eyes of the world are on the states in the South East.

Rescuing animals through fostering and adoption is necessary, but there is NO END IN SIGHT unless we lobby to enact statewide reforms to Animal Welfare laws.

In states like Georgia, where overpopulation is rampant,  overpopulation generates more than 600,000 euthanized animals per year. This costs Georgia's taxpayers an estimated annual $200million.

If we enact statewide animal welfare reform in conjunction free spay and neuter for three years, awareness programs, and revise the operations strategy for animal control facilities, the state will then have an estimated 70% reduction in related operating expenses, simply owing to the animals not being bred to begin with. This will add up to $140 million annually in savings.

The pets win. The taxpayers win.
